B&G Mortuary Service began in 2006 as a wholesale funeral service provider to local funeral homes in Southern Indiana and the Louisville Metro area. We quickly earned a reputation of excellence and began to grow. B&G Mortuary concentrates on our local area but has the ability to provide services to anyone throughout the United States. We are not the largest service in the area, but we guarantee that we are the best. As our reputation of "quality care" has grown in our community and the surrounding area, we started receiving requests directly from families to provide funeral care for their loved ones.
As a family-owned small business, we recognized that funeral costs were rapidly increasing and there was an unmet need for our neighbors in Southern Indiana and the Louisville Metro area. As the cremation rate and affordability of funeral service has climbed, B&G decided to invest in some State-of-the-art equipment to provide affordable cremations directly to the public, along with the funeral homes that choose to use us. Our concept is very simple: We focus on providing quality cremation services at an affordable price!
Because we don't have the overhead of constructing and maintaining large, extravagantly decorated funeral chapels, we can more easily control our costs and ultimately offer affordable cremation options to you. Our business model also grants you the flexibility to personalize your services however you wish.
In 2023, we invested in our own state-of-the-art crematory. Our crematory is located on our property in the same building we work in every day. B&G Mortuary is located in Charlestown, Indiana. You can rest assured that a family member who has chosen to be cremated will not leave our care. Our professional, certified crematory team focuses on treating each person in our care with the very highest level of dignity and respect.

We have partnered with local florists to offer the convenience of ordering directly from the obituary page of our website. You can also use this to select the flowers you would like at the service.
Sharing Service Details
We reduce the stress of contacting those who need the details of the service for your loved one. Through the online memorial on our website, we will post the dates and times of the service. You can then either share the memorial on your social media or copy the details from the site into an email or text.
