Phillip Jed
Ferguson
February 19, 1954 – January 9, 2026
Phillip Jed Ferguson, 71 of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully at his home on January 9, 2026, surrounded by his four daughters and his beloved cat Cheeto.
Phillip was a complicated man; one you didn't always understand, didn't always agree with, didn't always like; but somehow, people loved him anyway. He didn't follow the usual paths in life, didn't hold a career, and certainly didn't fit society's idea of success. Yet in his own imperfect way, he left an impression that lingered.
He was unapologetically himself. He loved his family, believed in God, and lived on his own terms - for better or for worse. He could be frustrating, flawed, stubborn, and difficult, but also familiar, unforgettable, and deeply human. Phillip was proof that love doesn't always come wrapped neatly, and that even broken people can be deeply loved.
He is survived by his daughters, Angela Barnett (Will), Kimberly Taul (Kris), Holly Amigo-Sanchez (Marvin), Heather Nichols. 14 loving grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. One Sister, Janice Dennison (Rick) and host of nieces and nephews. His legacy lives on through them, not because he was perfect, but because he was theirs. Phillip will be remembered for the strange way he stayed in people's hearts, even when logic said he shouldn't have. He was one of a kind, whether you loved him, tolerated him or shook your head at him, you won't forget him.
May he find the peace that eluded him in life.
LATER!
