IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mitchell Todd
Hastings
August 16, 1961 – October 27, 2025
Mitchell Todd Hastings, age 64, entered his heavenly home in the early morning hours of Monday October 27, 2025. Born August 16, 1961, in Blytheville Arkansas, he lived a life that was full of love and memories. Todd was a "man's man." Strong in every sense of the word; he was a Marine, sniper instructor, security guard, martial arts instructor and man of all work – there was nothing he couldn't do. More than that, he was strong in faith and love. Todd never gave up on anything and never wavered in his faith even for a moment. He was a husband, father, grandfather and friend. Todd was the man everyone called when they needed something because he was dependable, loyal, and wouldn't hesitate to help someone in need. Heaven gained an angel on Monday, but the world lost a hero. Todd is preceded in death by his parents Ronnie and Peggy, and his grandson Roscoe. He was welcomed into the arms of his wife Vonda, who was waiting for him at the pearly gates, and leaves behind their children: Jessica (Josiah Fourman), TJ (Kristin), and Jake (Maddie). He is survived by his wife LeAnn and children: Brett (Ashley), Reagan (Rebecca), Meghan (Rob), and Aubrey (Jacob) and their chocolate lab, Baby, who saw him through his fight with cancer and never left his side. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren with one more on the way who are already feeling the pain of life without their respective Papoo, Grandpa, and Pawpaw Poopers. It is a stroke of luck and blessing to find true love once in life and Todd was special enough to find it twice. He will be missed more than words can say, but his wife LeAnn, his children, and his grandchildren are determined to carry on his legacy of strength, determination, hope and love. Like him, they will never give up and will keep their eyes on God, just as he did. Todd's memorial service will be held at Southeast Christian Church on Saturday November 15, promptly at 10:00. A reception and visitation with the family will follow. The family requests the dress code to include flannel, hunting clothes, patriotic colors, or your favorite sports gear – Todd was not a suit guy! In Todd's honor we are collecting donations to keep the hospice waiting room at the VA hospital stocked and supplied with comfort measures for veteran families, as well as items to help veterans in hospice without family. Text/call Jessica at (502) 381-2150 for ways to donate.
