Michael S. DeSpain

Michael S. DeSpain, 57, passed away September 1, 2024 in Louisville Kentucky.  

Michael was born on December 9, 1966 in St.Louis, Mo. to Dianne Despain and Frank Giaimo. 

Survivors include, two sisters, Melissa (Thomas) Dodson and Joyce (Mike) Hensley, his three daughters Angela Despain, Dawn DeSpain, Sabrina Weeks and four grandchildren Samantha Jones, Anndrea Despain, Cooper Smith, and Aleeah Despain. He was preceded in death by his parents Dianne D. & Paul Sloan, grandparents Earl and Earline Despain, and one Uncle David “butch” Despain.

Michael was a very loving son, brother, father and grandfather. His favorite thing to do was make people laugh and smile, he had the best sense of humor. He will be missed very much!

Cremation was chosen and no services are scheduled at this time.

God saw that he was getting tired,

A cure was not to be.

So He put His arms around him

and whispered, “Come with Me.”

With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer,

And saw him fade away.

Although we loved him dearly,

We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes “the best.”
