Mary Virginia Grayson, formerly of Pickford, MI, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on April 18, 1927, to the late Alex and Eva Pittsley, Mary's life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to helping others.
Mary's career as a Registered Nurse was marked by her profound commitment to her patients, which benefited greatly from her expertise and generous spirit. After retiring she served as a Hospice volunteer for several years. Her journey was not just a career but a calling that she fulfilled with grace, devoted spirituality and professionalism.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Grayson, her sons Timothy, Steven (Sandy), David, and her daughter Anne Winberg (Clyde). She is survived by her loving son, John Grayson (Zita) of Waddy, KY, her brother Larry Pittsley (Pauline) of Midland, MI, six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews who takes comfort in the legacy of love and service that Mary leaves behind. Mary's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew her. Mary Virginia Grayson's life was a true embodiment of kindness, and she will be deeply missed.
Mary had been living at Shelby Farms Senior Living in Shelbyville, KY. Prior to that she was a resident of Ashwood Place in Frankfort, KY.
Mary cherished all of her family and friends in Michigan and Kentucky. A Celebration of Life gathering will be planned this summer in Pickford, MI.
