George Morrison Thompson
11/01/1949-02/09/2026
George was a great man to say the least, he was the best husband a woman could've ever asked for to his late wife Ginger Lee. He was 1 month, 1 day and 1 year older than her, she passed 02/10/2024 he went to be with the lord 1 day before the 2 the year mark of her passing. The love they shared was so beautiful & so very special, their love story was 1 of a kind, & this is just 1 of the reasons why it made such a beautiful story.
He was a Double Vietnam Purple Heart veteran (He was in the Marines, Army & Navy), he loved spending his time watching Fox News , drinking a cold beer , watching football & most of all spending time watching his granddaughter Madilyn Barrel Race / Rodeo and his grandson Hannon play many sports. Being a Papa to Madilyn & Hannon meant everything to him, that was his proudest achievement & he made sure to tell everyone just how proud he was to be their papa. His legacy will always live on through them.
He was a one of a kind man, he traveled the country after his time in the military & made friends with many people during his time traveling. He was a man of his word, because if a man didn't have his word then he didn't have anything. He made sure to be an amazing role model for the man his grandson should be and the type of man His daughter & Granddaughter would look for. He never failed to make sure his family had everything they needed & wanted. He made such an amazing impact on his family, They were more than proud to call him their Husband, Father, brother and most of all their papa. He was a trump supporter and loved talking politics with anyone who would listen.
He believed life wasn't about the moment you take your last breath it was about the moments that take your breath away & that Life wasn't about the way you die , but how you lived it. He also was very adamant that Fox News was the ONLY news outlet that was ever truly credible.
He is survived by his brother Steve Thompson (Beverly), his daughter Torri Bishop(Thomas), His granddaughter Madilyn Elizabeth Streichert , grandson Hannon T Bishop, nieces Beth & Janelle, nephew Chris Johnstone (April), brother in law Micheal Johnstone & his friend Angie.
He is proceeding in death by his Loving wife Ginger Lee, Mother Sarah , Father Garland, Brother Buddy, Sister Susan.
Arrangements have been entrusted to B&G Mortuary Service. Please share a memory.
