Dennis Van Ison

Dennis Van Ison passed away Saturday Evening, December 21, 2024, He was born on May 22, 1967, in Whitesburg, Kentucky to the late “Gid” Gideon and Thula J. Ison and spent his life bringing joy, love, and kindness to everyone around him. He was cherished by many.

Throughout his life, Dennis was known as a hard worker and an excellent welder, whose knowledge on just about everything was admired by all. His willingness to help anyone in need was a testament to his generous spirit. Dennis was passionate about motorcycles, mechanics, and hunting.  “I like outside”

Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, David Stamper and Son-in-Law, James Eaks.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Jennifer Ison; his daughters, Summer (Randy) Swickard, Candice (Macy) Eaks, Karen Burns, and Amber (Cody) Hawkins; his grandchildren, Jordan, David, Aspen, Madison, Jami, Ryan, Caden, River, and Boone; and his brothers Doug Stamper and Lonnie Ison; 4 great grandchildren, as well as countless friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Dennis also leaves behind his cherished dogs, Tytan, Red, and Houdini, who brought him immense joy and companionship.

A memorial service to celebrate Dennis's life will be held on January 25, 2025, (1pm-7pm) at the Henryville Community Center, 305 US-31, Henryville, IN. 47126.

We will forever cherish the memories we have with him and find comfort in knowing he is now at peace.
