Dennis Ross Hughes, a loving son, brother, and friend, passed away on November 19, 2024, surrounded by those who cherished him. He walked through life with compassion, kindness, and a deep love for people.
Dennis was a musician at heart, pouring his soul into his music with the hope of reaching and healing those who could relate to his words. His immense talent and passion for the guitar were a testament to his dedication and artistry. A firm believer in Christ, Dennis lived his life with faith, always encouraging others to follow their hearts and discover their passions.
A true fighter, Dennis always pushed himself to achieve more, never shying away from challenges. He never met a stranger, finding friendship and connection with everyone he encountered. His eccentric and outgoing nature made him unforgettable, while his determination and work ethic inspired those around him.
Dennis is survived by his loving family: his mother, Mary Cummins; his father, Dennis Durham; his brother, Terry Hughes; his sisters, Tara Nolte, Mary Hughes, and Tobie Lynn Durham; along with a host of close friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dennis leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and music that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved him.
Services to honor Dennis's life will be held on Sunday, November 24, at Riverside Baptist Church, located at 4317 Lees Ln, Louisville, KY 40216. Doors will open at 3 p.m., with the service beginning at 5 p.m.
