William S. Allen “Batman”

September 27, 1990 – May 10, 2026

William S. Allen, lovingly known to many as “Batman,” passed away at the age of 35. Originally from Barbourville, Kentucky, William later made Louisville his home, where he built a life centered around hard work, loyalty, music, and helping others.

William was the kind of man people leaned on. Solid as a rock. A true tank. Quiet, calm, steady, and strong in a way that made others feel safe around him. He carried a hard life on his shoulders, growing up through difficult circumstances and later battling addiction, illness, and more obstacles than most people ever face. But William was a fighter. He overcame addiction, survived cancer, and was in the process of preparing for a kidney transplant. At the time of his passing, he was proudly 583 days sober — something he worked incredibly hard for and something those who loved him will always be proud of.

He dedicated part of his life to helping others in recovery as a peer worker, using his own experiences to guide people through some of their darkest moments. He was also a hardworking general contractor who took pride in what he built and the people he worked beside. William was loyal, teachable, dependable, and the kind of person who would give what he had to help someone else.

Outside of work, he loved music, tattoos, and making people laugh in his own quiet way. Many will forever remember him randomly leaning over, whispering “I’m Batman” into someone’s ear, and walking away like nothing happened. That was William — strong, funny, humble, and unforgettable in the smallest moments.

William is survived by his son, Caden; his daughter, Maci; and the stepchildren he loved deeply as his own. He is also survived by his sisters, Jessica Napier, Stephanie Allen, and Kayla Chesebro; his biological father, Billy Napier; his stepfather, Robbie; and his loving mamaw, Shirley, along with many family members, friends, and brothers and sisters in recovery who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cassandra “Sissy” Stewart; both of his maternal grandmothers and his papaw; Along with many friends he lost throughout his sobriety journey.

A private viewing and cremation will be held for immediate family.

William’s story was not an easy one, but it was one of resilience, growth, loyalty, and love. He fought hard battles and still managed to be one of the calmest and happiest souls in the room. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, recovery, and quiet kindness that will never be forgotten.
