After 409 days in the amazing care of Hospice, Rose Marie Blair, aged 93, passed away peacefully after a long stubborn battle of holding on to life with everything she had, on July 11, 2026. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Gene Edwin, Jr. in 1955, Gene Edwin Yost, Sr (his father) in 2002, her father, Robert Blair, Sr., her mother, Clara Martin McAllister, her sister-in-law Carol McAllister, her brother-in-law Louis Thomas Hulsewede, Jr. and is survived by her children Pamela Yost Harris (David), Christopher Dean Yost, Heidi Lynne Yost, and Martin McCutchan Yost. Her siblings: Patricia McAllister Arnold (Joe), Ann Blair, Doris McAllister Rees, Edward Joseph McAllister (Sue), Robert Blair, Jr., William Mattthew McAllister and her sister-in-law Deborah Yost Hulsewede. Her grandchildren David Warren Harris, Jr. (Johanna) Grant Michael Harris, Emma Corner Garr (Austin), Martin McLain Yost and Samuel Gene Yost. Her great grandchildren: Denver James Harris, Ripley Elaine Harris, Parker Gene Harris and Loxley David Harris Nieces: Valerie Arnold Sale (Ernie) and Melanie Jo Arnold. Nephews: Travis Hulsewede, Mark Hulsewede and Devin Sale. Great nieces: Hanna Hulsewede and Ava Hulsewede.

She was a fierce KY Wildcat fan, was honored to assist in thousands of eye surgeries as an ophthalmic assistant, was a dedicated Democratic campaign canvasser, was a joyful singer in glee club (as a girl) and a proud American Red Cross blood donor more than 70 times.

There will be a private gathering for family. Prayers are appreciated.
