Linda Lou (Shanks) Dillon (age 89), of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026. Linda Lou was born on October 29, 1936, to Henry and Willadene Shanks in Bremen, Kentucky.

Linda was a graduate of Bremen High School and a licensed beautician. She loved to travel, enjoyed shopping and visiting with her close cousin, Shelvie Morgan, spending any days she could exploring the beach and “spoiling” her sweet dog, Nina.

Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Vincent, her father and mother, Henry and Willadene Shanks, her brother, Rex Shanks and her son, Cecil Vincent.

Linda Lou is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Hughes of Franklin, TN, her son, Duncan Vincent (Maria) of Pensacola, FL, and her son, Joslin Dillon of Louisville, KY.

She was grandmother to Eric Vincent, Elana Vincent, Cameron Hughes, Grant Hughes, Jade Dillon, and Blake House. She was great-grandmother to four beautiful children.

Honoring Linda Lou’s generous last wish, the gift of life was shared with many people in need, through organ and tissue donation.

The family requests that any acts of condolence be made as a donation to the SPCA for animals in need of adoption.
