John Marco Smigliani, age 61, of Charlestown, IN, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024.  He passed away at UofL Hospital in Louisville, KY surrounded by loved ones.

John was born on August 9th, 1962 in Augusta, Georgia, to  Domenic Smigliani of Poggiofiorito, Chieti, Italy and his mother, Ingrid of Frankfurt, Germany.  John is preceded in death by his father who was killed in action while serving the country he loved during Vietnam and also by his mother.

John will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  John was a skilled carpenter and owned a small woodworking shop and was known for using his craftsmanship to help others within his community.

John is survived by his wife, Connie (Jordan), four daughters, Angela Carwile, Amanda Kilgore, Brittany Jones, and Vikki (John Paul) McCarty, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held by Pastor Dave Downing  at Fair Haven Baptist Church, 951 Level Street Charlestown, IN.  on Friday, February 9th at 2pm followed by John's life celebtation ceremony a 4pm at the Charlestown VFW located at 350 Harrison St. Charlestown, In 47111 .
