John J. Barnes, 66, passed away on September 26th, 2026 at his home in Fairdale, KY.

Born on February 25th, 1960, John was the son of the late John R. Barnes and Joan K. Barnes. He was also preceded in death by his nephews, Devin Hovsepian and Brent Sivori. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Faith Courtney, Brianna Aikins and Sam and Ben Barnes, grandchildren, siblings Susan Sivori (Bill), David Barnes (Sandy) and Leah Barnes (Ronnie), as well as his niece and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends and lifelong best friend Davey Lindsey.

John’s visitation will be 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 11th at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
