With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jimathea Brett Kirkman, age 49, on Thursday, September 3, 2026. A resident of Jeffersontown, Kentucky, Jimathea passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Jimathea was born on March 30, 1977, in Louisville, Kentucky. Her life was a testament to compassion, love, and unwavering dedication to her family and the community she served. As a birth doula, Jimathea played a significant role in one of life's most precious moments, providing care and support to countless families over the years.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Jay Kirkman, who was her partner in all things. Jimathea was a proud and cherished mother to her dear children: William, Declan, Lorcan, Ruari, Moira, Samantha, and Josh. Jimathea will also be deeply missed by her siblings, Jon, Jaman, Japheth, and Jennifer.
