With heavy hearts, yet immense gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Holly Bussey, of Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on June 29th, 2026 at the age of 59.

Holly will be remembered as a woman of extraordinary strength, unwavering love, and a heart that never stopped giving. She embraced life with grace, kindness, and an infectious spirit that brought comfort and joy to everyone around her.

After being diagnosed with cancer, Holly faced every challenge with remarkable courage and dignity. She never complained and refused to let her illness define her. Instead, she met each day with hope, often reminding those who loved her, "I have this until I don't." Those words became a testament to the resilience, faith, and determination that carried her through her journey.

While Holly held many roles throughout her life, none brought her greater joy than being "Grammy." Her grandchildren—Emmett, Ryder, Deacon, and Phoenix—were the light of her life. She often said that spending time with her grandbabies was "her favorite time of the week." Every hug, laugh, and moment shared with them filled her heart in a way nothing else could.

Holly loved deeply and wholeheartedly. She treasured time with her family, celebrated life's simple moments, and had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcomed, valued, and loved. Her compassion, laughter, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving children, Hayley and Sean; her beloved grandchildren, Emmett, Ryder, Deacon, and Phoenix; her sister, Julie Brackett, and brother-in-law, Joe Brackett; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.

Holly was preceded in death by her beloved husband and soulmate, T.T. Bussey; her father, James Scruggs; and her mother, Marilyn Scruggs. We find comfort in knowing she has been reunited with them in Heaven, where love knows no end.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we choose to celebrate the incredible woman she was. Holly's legacy is one of unconditional love, quiet strength, courage in the face of adversity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She taught us to cherish every moment, love fiercely, and meet life's challenges with grace.

Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will remain with us forever.

"Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day—unseen, unheard, but always near."
